the universal map of the Mind and all the Realms of Being.

It is a spiritual vehicle of enlightenment, coming from the distant past into our life to make it better.

Mandala is derived from the root 'manda', which means 'essence', and suffix 'la', which means 'container'.
Accordingly, mandala is a container of essence.

Creating mandala's is immediately rewarded.
In painting meditation the dichotomy subject-object is melting,
and joy announces Buddha's presence.

The psychology of colour under the influence of meditation / mandala:

White:
the folly of ignorance turns into the wisdom of reality.

Yellow:
the folly of pride turns into the wisdom of equality.

Red:
the folly of attachment turns into the wisdom of discernment.

Green:
the folly of jealousy turns into the wisdom of accomplishment.

Blue:
the folly of anger turns into the mirror like wisdom.

I have read books on the mandala subject and have seen Tibetan originals and fine Western works.
In the early nineties, I painted Mandala on canvas - heart chacra.

When I got to know how to switch on my computer - went into a stage of learning,
simply by doing, painting Mandala's. Trying all possible graphic and painting programs.
It was not really painting - just drawing a single circle -
and through multiplication, distortion and all the colourful electronic tricks - creating an image.
