1968, age of 28, I was living in Warsaw as a published poet, freelance writer, writing poetry, prose, reportage and critic, enjoying one year long scholarship.
Second book of poems accepted by publisher with a fantastic cover and drawings by famous Franciszek Starowieyski.
I met him often and felt fascinated, his hand always busy with drawing sketches and ornaments. It was very inspiring. I wished to follow.

First series of my drawings started funny way: my lovely girlfriend left me alone for a week going to visit her husband in Paris.
Gave me papers and pens, black ink and blessings for a working therapy, so that I wouldn't get bored.

I went on studying drawing, copying Starowieyski, Dürer and Rembrandt, trying to find a right movement of pen and hand.
And I had quite a collections of hundred drawings when I went abroad 1970 to Stockholm.
In Sweden - first individual exhibitions and taking part in group exhibitions.

Drawing phase lasted almost 2 years; ended 1970 with first LSD trips, when I recognized that pen and ink does not go well together with my character.
Felt it was artificial.
Discontinued drawing and next couple of years was writing poems only. Becoming strict vegetarian, doing Za-zen, traveling. A painting adventure started 1973.
