Early 1978, Warsaw, I started to use acrylics for underpaint. They dry quick, then come oils on top.
One day wanted to (under)paint only, but forgotten myself in three hours brushwork. Having break I looked from five meter distance and laughed happy: 'Touch of Light' (below) was born! No oil colours needed.
Painting in acrylics - quite a new beginning - picture done in one or two days of work. Colours mixed with painting varnish, half-transparent layers painted thin and flat. Breath taking harmony and beauty of the kind I knew only from love.
Thirty years later I create this page, wish to share with you the light and primeval joy. |
Life as an experiment. May '78 in full bloom, I took mescaline oh so holy hallelujah.
Had a walk, back with flowers, tried to paint, hey! no way to do it! Oneness rules okay, all is present,
flowers shine in multicolored auras of eternity, paintings look unattractive.
Well I didn't take mescaline to fly high or be happy, preferred painting. Jump into conclusion. Into next morning. Shower, light breakfast and a cup of tea; painting starting in light shades of colour.
The 'Wandering Star' was about to be born. Painted one hour, ate a good portion of mescaline and sipping tea went on with painting.
Clarity of colours, brush sure in quiet wave-like strokes, half-transparent quickly drying layers. Ecstasy growing, bringing no harm to me or the painting.
Full day of work.
More days were needed to enable 'Wandering Star' flying. Oh well, that's how I learned to paint on mescaline. |
Surely my patience was gratified in time. 1982 initiated into Yoga of Light and Sound, discovered thousands year old spiritual symbol - lotus flower with two petals - the Third Eye.
There were quite funny times then - in everyday meditation I clearly saw pictures in my third eye, hey! - all of them were already painted in last years! |
